About Kit Davey

Kit Davey's mission is to help others create beauty, harmony and order in their homes. She started her business, A Fresh Look, in March of 1991, providing room makeovers, design advice, staging and professional organizing services. Since then she has transformed thousands of homes.

Kit received her B.A. from Stanford University and has a teaching credential from California State University, Hayward. Kit received her certificate in Residential Interior Design from Canada College's award-winning interior program and is an Allied Member of ASID. She received her Realtor's license and completed her studies as a personal and professional Life Coach in 2003. Kit is an Essential Feng Shui Practitioner and received her training through the Western School of Feng Shui in 2004. She served four terms as Program Director for the National Association of Professional Organizers (SFBA Chapter).

Her unique service has been featured in SF Magazine, The Country Almanac, The San Francisco Chronicle, Northern California Home and Gardens, Sunset and The Palo Alto Weekly. Kit also writes two nationally syndicated columns for Content That Works. She teaches courses in interior design for the Palo Alto Adult School and De Anza College. She is a sought-after guest speaker for organizations on the Peninsula. She is a monthly columnist for the Palo Alto Weekly, and her column, "Decorating on a Dime " appeared weekly in the San Mercury News from 1995 to 2000. She has appeared twice on Channel 7 News, performing her room transformations.
