2) Feng Shui Tips for the Kitchen
Safety and order are key in the kitchen.
- Knives in view imply danger. Store them in a slotted knife holder in a drawer .
- The burners of your cook top represent abundance. Make sure they all work properly. Rotate their use, rather than favoring one or two of the burners. If you want to increase prosperity, place a mirror on the backsplash behind the burners to “double, and hence, your prosperity.
- Clutter is an energy-drainer and an eyesore. Declutter countertops, cabinets and drawers. Regularly clear your cabinets and refrigerator of expired or spoiled food.
3) Time Management Tips
- If you can do it in 30 seconds or less, do it now!
- Make a master shopping list on your computer. Print out a stack and keep them handy in your kitchen. Post one on your refrigerator or by your phone. Check off things on the list as you run out. Plan meals a week in advance and shop once a week. Grab the list and go!
- Do an end of year wrap-up. Review your calendar for 2004 and jot down any accomplishments, no matter how small, or anything you did that made you feel good. Follow it with a list of disappointments and what you learned from them. Then create a list of “desired outcomes” for 2005. Keep the “desired outcomes” in your calendar and review it weekly to keep you on track.
- Make a list of your 5 favorite activities. Write down next to each the last time you did it. If you haven't made time in the past, start scheduling in time now. Pick one activity, select a date in the next month to do it and write it in ink on your calendar. Keep your dates!
