4. Save the date: Annual Open House and Art Sale

Our open house/art sale in November was a wonderful success---thank you for making it so! Please plan on attending the next Annual Art Sale and Open House on Saturday, Nov. 14 from 12 to 5 pm!  You are invited to visit my home and garden and browse the work of local artists.  Location: 1539 Granger Way, Redwood City.

 

5. Kit’s Chopped Tropical Salad

Ingredients:

1-½ cups frozen corn or canned corn
1 can black beans
1 red bell pepper, 2 kiwi fruits, 1 papaya, 2 stalks celery
1-½ cups cooked, skinless, boneless chicken breasts
Juice of one orange
Salad dressing of your choice
Mixed greens

Directions: Rinse the corn and beans in a colander and set aside. Dice the pepper, kiwi, papaya, celery and chicken breasts and put in a large bowl. Combine with corn and beans. Pour orange juice and salad dressing over mixture. Serve over greens.

7. Procrastination Busters

At a meeting I attended, the presenter gave ideas for busting through procrastination. You can do ANYTHING for 2 minutes! So, Pick one of the things you are procrastinating on, set a timer and just get started. She also suggested taking a tedious project to a coffee shop, to the library or to a friend’s house and to work on it there.
