Before
This colorful living room felt boxed in and lacked some flair. The family photos lined up on the mantel were not strong enough for a focal point. Christmas decor needed to removed, as the holidays were long gone.
After
We first removed the holiday decorations! Then we opened up the room by using only one part of the sectional couch, flanking the fireplace, rather than facing it. We brought in a pair of chairs from another room to complete the conversation area. I created a stronger focal point by removing the photos and grouping a few larger items on the mante
